Linux Mint 7 with Virtual Box… Cross your fingers.

Today, I’m installing Linux Mint 7 via Virtual Box, by Sun Microsystems. Virtual Box is free software that allows you to create ‘virtual’ computers within your own computer, letting you install multiple operating systems on your computer. Codenamed “Gloria,” Linux Mint 7 promises to be “an elegant, up to date and comfortable GNU/Linux desktop distribution.” It was released laste last month, and is based off of Ubuntu’s “Jaunty Jackalope” (verion 9.04). Anyways, wish me luck, and I’ll be sure to make an installation tutorial and a nice review on it.

I’m actually working to fix that, but for now try this; in VB, under that box’s settings, try and allocate more graphics memory. Then, install all graphics card drivers in Linux; native resolution without a graphics card is 800×600, so i think that lack of a detected graphics card is giving you issues.
