Errors, Glitches, and Bugs

Since I, myself, run into a lot of issues while playing Battlefield Heroes, I thought it would be in my best interest to set up a page dedicated to fixing all of the games’ various error messages. I’ve also played the game on Windows XP, Vistas, and Windows 7, so I feel fairly well equipt to answer most questions. If you have a concern or question regarding an error message, or Battlefield Heroes in general, please post a comment here, and I’ll do my best to get back to you. So, without further ado, here are some of the most common errors, and their fixes.

You were kicked from the server. (1)

This is the most annoying error ever, and it happens quite often. Whenever you have an item that expires, it remains equiped, quite often. So, when you try to join a game, you are seen as a cheater who is trying to use weapons that you don’t own. The problem; unequip any expired weapons, and if you have no weapons equiped, equip some. Simple as that.

On another note, if you were actually cheating, and got caught for it, you will probably be kicked from the game instantly, whether you are currently cheating or not. You have PunkBuster to thank for that. (I personally dispise punkbuster for its inconsistancy and constant glitches, but thats another story for another time).

The client contains invalid data. (6)

This error, while not as common, is a bit trickier, seeing as it can come from a variety of different sources. I’ll start from the easiest solution and work my way up to the hardest.

Easy – Exit the game, log out, log back in, and relaunch the game. You may have had a bad session, a cookie might have become corrupt, or something similar. By logging out and in, you can fix most of these errors.

Not so Easy – Reinstall the game. Go to start, control panel, and click Add or Remove Programs (or in Vistas, Programs and Features). Find Battlefield Heroes, and uninstall it. Restart your computer for good measure. Then, go back to Battlefieldheroes.com, sign in, and re-download the game. If the game is corrupt or damaged, it could be causing issues like this.

Hard – Re-install or update your computers drivers. Usually, errors like this come from errors in videocard drivers, but there are a few other drivers that might cause issues.

Just plain awkward – There have been rumors floating around the messageboards that taking all your characters clothes off and then starting a game might help. I have yet to test this method.

PunkBuster Error (22)

Like I said, PunkBuster must be the most annoying anti-cheat system ever. If you get an error 22, there are a few things that might be causing it. For one, PunkBuster hates Windows 7, which doesn’t help much. For another, PunkBuster hates Internet Explorer 8. My recommendation; If you get this error, uninstall Battlefield Heroes, run your browser as an administrator, and re-download the game. If you’re running Internet Explorer 8, try downgrading to Internet Explorer 7 for now, or just use Firefox.

Unable to Connect (1002,1009)

This is a fairly nondescript issue; it simply means that there isn’t a connection between the Battlefield Heroes server and your computer. Make sure you are still connected to the internet, and that you are using the latest version of your browser. If you get this error, and you are connected to the internet, close the application, go back to the Battlefield Heroes homepage, and click ‘Play Now.’ If there was a blip in the server connection, it should be resolved. If this STILL doesn’t work, check your firewall; it may be blocking connections made by the Battlefield Heroes program.

One last thing to check is the Battlefield Heroes website or their Twitter… the servers might be temporarily down for maintenance or something like that, so its always good to check for things like that.

when i 1st downloaded the game it let me do the tutorial i closed it down tried again later and it didnt work. The site didnt load the play now button, would not let me register, log in, or create a character. Any suggestions?? thanks

First of all, why would you need to register if you already have an account? And it sounds like you’re having a browser issue. If you’re using IE, try Firefox (And Vice-versa) and see if that works. Also, whats you’re connection speed? DSL, Cable, FIOS?

Thats strange…. does it have a number anywhere, like in parenthesis (like
this)? Usually when something sends a report, there is something to signify
what KIND of report it is sending.

What browser are you using, and what operating system are you using?If
you're on Windows Vistas/Windows 7, I'd make sure to run your browser as an
administrator (right click your browser's shortcut and select “Run as
Administrator”).

Try running your browsers as an administrator (Right click the browser icon,
and select 'Run as administrator'). If that doesn't work, then I'd
recommend trying to re-install. If you need help with that, let me know. I'm

Looking more at this, i'm beginning to think that the software is just outright crashing. Try finding the executable (.exe file) in your “C:/Program Files/EA Games/” folder, right click it, and select properties. In the compatibility tab, check “Run this program in compatibility mode for [Windows XP SP3]“. You might also want to check “Run this program as an administrator” as well.

Let me know how that works.

Been playing for some weeks, and today, everything loads slow, black screen and poff out to the error message, u have been disc.. even if i wherent ingame.. If i klick outside the bfh screen the mouse freeze and like 1 min later it start to work again. if i do it again, the same thing happens.. Dont know what it is. have reinstalled the game like 20 times, no luck, reinstalled the OS i where lucky.. But ffs we shouldnt have to reinstall os for this shit.. works gr8 on my other lap..

It sounds like maybe you had some out-dated drivers, or something had been
corrupted. There's also a very, very good chance that you just had spyware
or something like that bogging your system down. You didn't have to
re-install your whole OS for that! haha

Hardly not a chance. new os, new drivers directly from acer. worked yesterday.
reinstal my os haha?? why tell so? U dont know all the problems i have had with this fucking comp. just 2w old. there is no official 4570 driver out, so i got mine from acer directly. all installed yesterday, worked for like 6 h, than today its not working.
I manage to discover that its my external hdd that fucks it up all of a sudden. And now there is a 1001 error, but there is many that get it. (sry for shitty english)

your english is fine. have you considered contacting Acer about getting a
replacement HD? and what is the problem, exactly? does your computer slow
down when you do something specifically, like open a program or try to save
something?

been strugeling for like 25 h about this fail i have, first i update to w7, and my gfx card didnt work prop. ati mobility radeon hd 4570, later found out there is many people having the same problem, no one manage to get the right drivers for tha´t card, only intigrated card works 3200 series. after contacting acer i got this special gfx driver. but i dont wanna reinstall os again, after so many reinstalls. my external seem to “bugg” with my latest comp,( only with bfh latly) never bugg with something else. but it works like a sharm with an almost exact laptop,(5530G) who i have next to my 7535G . I will look today if it works better, coz yesterday bfh had some troubles. I have read many, many forums and tried everything, here are some examples:

But i now run “fabricreinstall” Works good exept a bit slow startup and the bfh strange thing. behave like this. i start from homepage, little screen turns black, mouse freeze for a minute, than i can log in, start game, little pic turn black, mouse freeze, than it tells they look for a server suited for me, takes long, they find a server, it say so for a long time, than it turns black for a long time, mouse freeze, than poff back to “skrivbord” dont know the enlish word.. but i meen the windows screen, where u have all icons when u started up your comp.
Damn hard to explain it all.

First off, make sure you are in fact connected to the internet. If you are,
create a firewall exception, or turn off your firewall off when running the
program. Are you sure its not a punkbuster error?

It honestly just might be your graphics card, but not in the way you’d
think; If it does it consistantly, why don’t you try checking for driver
updates for your graphics card? Let me know if you need help with this.

When i load it up, the BFH screen goes white then a error comes up saying ‘Debug assertion failed!’ then it say version 10285885734875 or something random like that then i press continue and another pops up and so on. Then the errors stop. But then the screen of BFH goes grey and white and somebody random goes like YEEHAAA! and theres a plane sound THEN an annoying song. Please help

Thats actually the sound the game makes when it boots up. Granted, theres an
animation with it… I recommend making sure you have your latest graphics
card drivers. Do you need help finding them?

Wait, buy one what? a graphics card? I just got an ATI XFX Radeon 5850 HD
for $320 from newegg, with a lifetime warranty, and it runs every game at
max settings, without any blips.

Ah, ok, thats an easy fix. You need to hit control+shift+escape and click on
the processes tab. End any processes that have the name “BFH.exe” or have
“battlefield heroes” as their description. OR, just restart your computer.

Well, first, check all your drivers, especially any network adapters.
Secondly, if you’re using Vistas/7 (which you probably are, by this point),
you’re going to want to make sure you run the PunkBuster installer with
admin privs, if it doens’t ask you for that. Try running your browser with
admin privs as well. Lastly, are you sure you’re not actually just dropping
your connection every so often? Restart your router.

If you're using IE, use Firefox, and vice-versa. That sounds like an error

Two things: Is your computer overheating? Google “Coretemp” and download the
program, and run it before you start the game. If you overheat, crashing is
inevitable. Otherwise, make sure your graphics card driver is up to date:
Conflicts with other drivers, or outdated driver settings can cause periodic
crashing.

Oh, that just means you had a poor connection. That either means the server
you were playing on was too far away, you were downloading something big on
your network, or something along those lines.

you need to properly uninstall the game; by deleting the files, you only
partially uninstalled it; there are still parts of the game left in your
registry/

That means there is already an instance of the program running. The
easiest way to fix this is to just restart your computer. If that
doesn't help, write me back.

Also, sign up for a forum account at forum.technoheads.org and post
this as a topic in the battlefield heroes section. This way, other
people with the same issue can find the answer easier.

For some reason the installer could not write values in your registry.
Restart your browser, but run it as an administrator, and see if that
helps. Restart your computer first.

I was playing this game on my computer, when one day my computer crashed and i had to download everything again! BFH was one of them that i lost during the crash. So i reinstalled it, then the game screen pop's up and says error and closes when i click okay.

haha well, make sure it's five, first. I believe that refers to a punkbuster
error. Restart your computer and run your browser as an administrator if
you're on windows 7 or vistas, and make sure it's error 5 if it happens
again.

A fix for error 15 is simply to change your hero a few times. Swap to a
different hero, then swap back to the one you want. If it doesn't work, try
again. If it STILL doesn't work, contact me again and I'll tell you how to

It means that your browser doesn't have permission to read and write
certain files. To fix this, right click your browsers shortcut and
click “run as administrator.”

Hi. I play battlefield heroes, and I have an account. I was playing it earlier today and it worked fine. But, when I tried to log in later, it wouldn’t accept my password. I tried getting a verification email and resetting the password, but that only worked the first time. Now, I am blocked out of the account. I know that both the email and password are correct. Any advice?

Hi. I made an account on battlefield heroes and I was playing a lot yesterday, but later it didn't work. When I went to access my account, it said there was something wrong. I knew it was right though. I sent a verification email and reset the password. After I tried logging back on, though, it still wouldn't take that password. I don't know why it's not letting me into that account. I did a lot on that account so I don't want to get rid of it. Any advice?

i'll email you this response, too. You should check your graphics card
driver and make sure it is up to date, first of all. What OS are you
running? (Windows xp/vistas/7?)

tell it to allow, and make sure it allows always, and then try running the
game. If that doesn't work, try disabling your antivirus/firewall
temporarily (most programs have this option) and then try running it.

in windows Vistas or windows 7, programs that try to do things like install
things to your computer are blocked unless you give them
administrative privileges. Right-click the icon of your web browser and
click “Run as administrator.” It will have a colored shield next to it. Your
screen should grey out and ask you if you want to continue, click yes. Then,
try it again.

This Online Game End User Access and License Agreement (“EUALA”) is an agreement between you and Electronic Arts Inc. (“EA” or “We” or “us”) in relation to EA’s online game entitled Battlefield Heroes™ (the “Game”).

BY CLICKING ON THE “ACCEPT” BUTTON, YOU ACCEPT ALL TERMS AND CONDITIONS SET OUT IN THIS EUALA. 1. Application of this EUALA and access to Software
This EUALA governs your use of EA’s Game client software, any updates, upgrades and expansions that replace or supplement EA’s Game client software, and all related documentation which are not distributed with a separate license (collectively, the “Software”).

This EUALA does not give you any right to obtain reissues or replacements of the Software at any time; furthermore, EA or any third party service provider that may operate the Game (an “Operator”) is not obliged to supply Software updates, upgrades or expansions, or even to operate or continue support the Game or Software, for an indefinite period. In the event that EA supplies any Software updates, upgrades or other modifications to the Software, you agree that you may be required to install or patch the Software in the manner decided by EA in its sole discretion so as to continue Game play.

To gain access to the Software, you must (a) have acquired the Software (whether on DVD-ROM, CD-ROM or other physical media or by online download) by legal means, (b) have installed the Software on your computer and (c) have accepted this EUALA.

The Game is only playable online, and Internet access (not supplied by EA) is required at all times to play. The Software alone does not give you the right to play the Game. You are responsible for all taxes and costs of acquiring any hardware, software or other products or services required to play the Game. To play the Game, you may need to enter into a separate agreement with EA or with an Operator, subject to additional terms including terms of service, a privacy policy and/or a code of conduct. You may need to pay additional fees or purchase credits/points, subscribe to an online service, and provide additional information to create an account with EA and/or an Operator (an “Account”). Accounts may only be available to persons of legal age and, solely under the supervision of such persons, to any of their children under the age of majority. If you are a minor, your parents, guardians or legal carers must complete the registration procedure, whereby they must take all responsibility concerning the obligations set forth in this EUALA.

This EUALA may be modified by EA at any time. You can view the EUALA at any time by visiting the applicable Internet site for the Game. We may notify you of modifications a) before you play the Game and/or b) via a specific notice on the applicable Internet site for the Game. All modifications will take effect thirty (30) days after their announcement. In any event, you agree to check the Website and review this EUALA periodically to familiarise yourself with any modifications that may occur. If you do not agree with any future modifications to this EUALA, or are unable to continue to remain in compliance with the same, you must cease your use of the Software and of the Game. You may terminate this EUALA in accordance with Section 5. Your continued use of the Software and play of the Game after a modification of the EUALA will be deemed as your acceptance of any modified terms.

2. License Grant and Terms of Use.
A. Grant.
You acknowledge that the Software and the Game are owned by EA and that they are protected by laws governing copyright, trademark, intellectual property rights and all other property rights.

Under the terms of this EUALA, and for purposes of your playing the Game, EA grants you a personal, non-exclusive license to install and use the Software and play the Game for your personal use solely as set forth in this EUALA and the accompanying documentation. Your acquired rights are subject to your compliance with this EUALA. Any commercial use is expressly prohibited.

The term of this EUALA and your license to use the Software and Game thereunder shall commence on the date that you install or otherwise use the Software, and shall terminate as set forth in Section 5.

Unless expressly permitted by EA in writing or as required by applicable law, you are expressly prohibited from reproducing, sub-licensing, broadcasting, modifying, adapting, renting, lending, leasing, distributing or otherwise making publicly available the Software or rights to use the Software (including in particular the rental of the Software through Internet Game Rooms or cyber-cafes)

Unless expressly permitted by EA in writing, the reproduction of all or part of any hard-copy packaging or documentation included with the Software recording media is prohibited.

B. Reservation of Rights and Restrictions.
This Software is licensed, and not sold. You have acquired a license to the Software and your rights are subject to this Agreement. Except as expressly licensed to you herein, EA reserves all right, title and interest in the Software and the Game which you use the Software to play (including all characters, storyline, images, photographs, animations, video, music, text and in-game virtual property), and all associated copyrights, trademarks, and other intellectual property rights therein. The license granted under this EUALA is limited to the intellectual property rights of EA and its licensors in the Software, as necessary to use the Software and play the Game as permitted under this EUALA, and does not include any rights to other patents or intellectual property. This EUALA does not grant any rights relating to any brands or services connected with the Software or Game.

Except to the extent permitted under applicable law, you may not decompile, disassemble, or reverse engineer the Software by any means whatsoever. You may not extract code from all or part of the Software, or authorise any third party to perform or to attempt to perform such operations on the Software. You may not remove, alter, or obscure any product identification, copyright, or other intellectual property notices in the Software.

It is strictly prohibited to use the Software to connect with or play the Game or any facsimile thereof on any servers that are not authorized by EA or any Operator (“grey shards” or the like). In addition, you may not emulate or operate such servers or assist any third party to do so.

It is also strictly prohibited to use any third-party software or any other device with a view to modifying the Software in any way, intercepting or scanning Game traffic or communications, changing the way the Game plays or playing in an abnormal manner or in a way that could impair the correct operation of the Game. Such prohibited third party software or devices can include, but are not limited to, those in the nature of “addons”, “hacks”, “cheats”, “trainers”, “mods”, or the like by any name. The authorisations granted to you in accordance with this EUALA may under no circumstances be used for the purpose of creating or supplying any opportunity for third parties to access the Game, including through server emulators or similar devices. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, you agree that EA or an Operator may scan your computer’s memory or hard disk drive to detect or locate any such unauthorized third party program or devices, with or without any prior notice to you at any time. Furthermore, you may not use the Software in a manner that would impose an unreasonable or disproportionate burden on the infrastructure of EA or any Operator.

C. No Rights over results of use of Software or over in-Game content
This EUALA grants you a simple license to use the Software to play the Game. You have no rights to or in the Game or its content.

You expressly acknowledge that all characters created and all objects or attributes acquired and developed during Game play are an integral part of the Game and strictly remain the property of EA. You further acknowledge that the Software contains, without limitation, the following: (i) graphics, sound effects, music, visual animations and text (hereafter referred to as “Content”) to which you have no property rights and no intellectual property rights, and (ii) other content, including contributions by other users of the Game.

Where by applicable law you own certain copyrights over any Content created by you by using the Software and/or the Game, you assign to EA all and any intellectual and industrial property rights in all and any such Content. Where such assignment is not possible, you grant to EA any and all comprehensive, exclusive, perpetual, worldwide and assignable rights to use all Content created by you by using the Software and/or the Game immediately upon creation. These rights to use and/or utilize Content shall extend to all known forms of use and include without limitation the rights to copy, reproduce, change, adapt, modify, process, translate the Content, the rights to license and sub-license the Content to third parties, and to market, whether by way of leasing, renting, or otherwise.

You acknowledge and agree that you have, except as may be expressly permitted by EA, no right to and may not sell, auction, give away, or in any way make available, whether free of charge or for a fee, any Content (including any Content generated by yourself or any other user), character/avatar, object, item or any component of the Software or Game, to another person. All of the aforementioned actions, especially those performed via online auctions, forums or chat rooms, will therefore contravene the terms of this EUALA. Over and above the violation of the terms of this EUALA, which will entitle EA to terminate this EUALA and your license to use the Software and play the Game, you acknowledge that the unauthorised trading or other distribution of Game content is detrimental to EA’s image and that of the Game, and EA reserves the right to seek compensation from you to the fullest extent permissible by applicable law.

3. Usage of Digital Rights Management Technology
The Software is distributed subject to EA’s right to use access control and copy protection technology (“Digital Rights Management”). If used, Digital Rights Management may affect or limit your ability to install and/or make copies of the Software and may involve the installation or placement on your computer of certain additional files or tools which may permanently remain on your computer whether or not the Software is being used or has been removed. For more information concerning the Digital Rights Management that may apply to this Software, please review the purchase or other terms accompanying the distribution of the Software. This EUALA will terminate immediately if you attempt to circumvent any Digital Rights Management used in relation to the Software.

4. Respect for Privacy and Consent to Use of Data.
To facilitate the provision of any updates or upgrades or expansions to the Software, any dynamically served content, product support and other services to you, including online play of the Game, you agree that EA and third parties (including any Operators, if applicable) which are providing EA authorized services to you in connection with this Software (“Related Parties”), may collect, use, store and transmit technical and related information that identifies your computer (including an Internet Protocol address), operating system and application software and peripheral hardware. EA and the Related Parties may also use this information in the aggregate, in a form which does not personally identify you, to improve our products and services and may share anonymous aggregate data with our service providers.

By accepting this EUALA, you expressly permit EA to use the information provided to it, and to forward it to its subsidiaries and licensees, companies affiliated to its group, and trading partners. You agree that EA may use any data stored by it to contact you from time to time. EA agrees that its use of any information or data collected or used by it in relation to the Software and Game will be stored and handled in accordance with EA’s privacy policy accessible at the Internet site for the Game or through http://www.ea.com / privacy.ea.com. Additional terms may apply to you in certain jurisdictions.

If you are playing the Game through an Account with an Operator or other Related Party, you should also consult the applicable privacy policy of that Related Party for any additional terms

You further acknowledge that EA or any Related Parties have a legitimate concern with monitoring your use of the Software in playing the Game. You acknowledge that you have no guarantee of privacy with regard to your communications and information within the Game or in relation to any ancillary services access through the use of the Software (including but not limited to chat rooms or similar functions). EA may also collect, use, store, transmit and publicly display statistical data regarding game play (including scores, rankings and achievements), or identify content that is created and shared by you with other players.

EA reserves the right to monitor and store information that you send or receive using the Software, including maintaining a copy of that information after your cessation of the use of the Software or play of the Game. This information is collected in order to enable EA to better know Users and serve them, in particular as regards the provision of services associated with the Game. Information collected about you through your use of the Software, may include, but is not limited to name, age, contact details including email address, system configuration, Game play time, micro-transactions conducted, and other data that may be collected from time to time.

5. Termination of the Agreement
This EUALA is effective until terminated.

EA may terminate this EUALA immediately without prior notice if you fail to comply or otherwise violate the terms of this EUALA, infringing the intellectual property rights of any third party, manifestly endangering public order or good moral standards as determined by us in our sole discretion, or if EA are unable to verify or authenticate any information about you that you supply during the Game or any other activity connected to the Software. We may also decide to terminate this EUALA in the event that we terminate the operation of the Game.

You may terminate this EUALA at any time by informing EA or any applicable Operator in writing or by such means as may be implemented for such purposes by EA or an Operator.

Promptly upon termination, you must cease all use of the Software and destroy all copies of the Software in your possession or control. You acknowledge and agree that the termination of this EUALA or permanent deletion of the Software may render your Account and any in-game attributes or Content unusable, for which you will not hold EA in any way responsible.

Termination will not limit any of EA’s other rights or remedies at law or in equity. Sections 8, 9, 10 to 17 of this EUALA shall survive termination or expiration of this EUALA for any reason.

6. Warranties
This Section is to be read subject to Sections 7 and 8.

A. No warranty on Software operation or Game play.
You acknowledge that, owing to the complexity of computer technology, as well as the nature of online games themselves and their play over a global communications network outside EA’s control, EA cannot and does not guarantee that the Software, the Game and any updates, upgrades or expansions Software will run permanently or uninterrupted on your computer. EA is not liable for delays or difficulties, especially of a technical nature, that are due to circumstances beyond its control.

B. Limited Remedy For Defects
In the event that there is any defect in the Software or the recording media on which it is embodied, your sole remedy is a replacement copy of the Software. You may also have additional rights under applicable local law, which varies by jurisdiction.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties.
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMISSIBLE UNDER APPLICABLE LAW, THE SOFTWARE, THE GAME AND ALL OTHER SERVICES PROVIDED BY EA ARE PROVIDED TO YOU “AS IS,” WITH ALL FAULTS, WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, AND YOUR USE IS AT YOUR SOLE RISK. THE ENTIRE RISK OF SATISFACTORY QUALITY AND PERFORMANCE RESIDES WITH YOU. EA AND EA’S LICENCORS DO NOT MAKE, AND HEREBY DISCLAIM, ANY AND ALL EXPRESS, IMPLIED OR STATUTORY WARRANTIES, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, SATISFACTORY QUALITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NONINFRINGEMENT OF THIRD PARTY RIGHTS, AND WARRANTIES (IF ANY) ARISING FROM A COURSE OF DEALING, USAGE, OR TRADE PRACTICE. EA DOES NOT WARRANT AGAINST INTERFERENCE WITH YOUR ENJOYMENT OF THE SOFTWARE OR THE GAME; THAT THE SOFTWARE OR THE GAME WILL MEET YOUR REQUIREMENTS; THAT OPERATION OF THE SOFTWARE OR THE GAME WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, VIRUS-FREE OR ERROR-FREE, OR THAT THE SOFTWARE WILL BE COMPATIBLE WITH THIRD PARTY SOFTWARE OR THAT ANY ERRORS IN THE SOFTWARE OR THE GAME WILL BE CORRECTED. 8. Limitation of Liability.

9. Indemnity.
BY USING THE SOFTWARE, YOU HEREBY AGREE TO INDEMNIFY AND HOLD EA, ITS EMPLOYEES AND ITS DIRECTORS HARMLESS AGAINST ANY CLAIM, LIABLITY, LOSS, INJURY DAMAGE, COST OR EXPENSE (INCLUDING REASONABLE SOLICITORS' FEES) INCURRED BY EA ARISING OUT OF OR FROM YOUR USE OF THE SOFTWARE OR THE GAME.

10. Compliance with law.
You must respect all applicable laws regarding the use of the Software and the Game.

11. Injunctive Relief.
You agree that a breach of this EUALA may cause irreparable injury to EA for which monetary damages would not be an adequate remedy and EA shall in such event be entitled to seek equitable relief in addition to any other remedies it may have hereunder or at law.

12. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution.
This EUALA shall be governed by and construed (without regard to conflicts or choice of law principles) under the laws of the State of California as applied to agreements entered into and to be performed entirely in California between California residents. Unless expressly waived by EA in writing for the particular instance or where contrary to local law, the exclusive jurisdiction and venue for actions related to the subject matter hereof shall be the California state and federal courts having within their jurisdiction the location of EA’s principal place of business. Both parties consent to the jurisdiction of such courts and agree that process may be served in the manner provided herein for giving of notices or otherwise as allowed by California or federal law. The parties agree that the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods (Vienna, 1980) shall not apply to this EUALA or to any dispute or transaction arising out of this EUALA.

13. Export.
You agree to abide by U.S. and other applicable export control laws and agree not to transfer the Software to a foreign national or national destination, which is prohibited by such laws, without first obtaining, and then complying with, any requisite government authorization. You certify that you are not a person with whom EA is prohibited from transacting business under applicable law.

14. Third Party Beneficiaries.
Notwithstanding anything in this EUALA to the contrary, you hereby acknowledge that EA’s licencors, as well as any applicable Operator, are third-party beneficiaries of this EUALA and have the right to bring an action directly against you for a breach of this EUALA to the extent required to enforce their respective rights in and to the Software or Game.

15. Entire Agreement
Except as specifically set forth in this EUALA, this EUALA constitutes the entire agreement between you and EA with respect to the Software and supersedes all prior or contemporaneous understandings, either express or implicit, regarding such subject matter. No amendment to or modification of this EUALA will be binding unless made in writing and signed by EA. None of EA’s, or any of EA’s Operators, distributors, agents, or any of their respective employees are authorised to make modifications or additions to this EUALA.

IN PARTICULAR, NOTHING IN THIS AGREEMENT MAY BE SUPERSEDED OR INVALIDATED BY ANY TERMS OF SERVICE OFFERED TO YOU BY AN OPERATOR FOR THE PURPOSES OF USING THE SOFTWARE TO PLAY THE GAME.

16. Severability and Survival.
If any provision of this EUALA is illegal or unenforceable under applicable law, the remainder of the provision shall be amended to achieve as closely as possible the effect of the original term and all other provisions of this EUALA shall continue in full force and effect.

17. No Waiver.
No failure to exercise, nor a delay in exercising, any right or any power hereunder shall operate as a waiver thereof, nor shall any single or partial exercise of any right or power hereunder preclude further exercise of any other right hereunder. In the event of a conflict between this EUALA and any applicable purchase or other terms, the terms of this EUALA shall govern the relationship between you and EA.

For some reason when i download the game which ive done twice now at the end it does the normal would you like to play now if i hit yes nothing happens then if i go int my computer then program files then EA games and lastly Battlefield heroes and try load it from there (because the start menu isnt wanting to launch) i get a message that says. That may be a pubkbustr issue. Punkbustr is the most finnicky
anticheat system I've ever seen. Try going to their website and
getting the punkbustr installer. It has a tool to see if everything
works.

That's honestly a problem with their servers… there isn't much to do

besides maybe try a different browser or clear your cache/cookies and try

again.

It means that the game is trying to launch the updater when it starts, but

the updater is already running somewhere. What I'd recommend is simply

restarting your computer. This should kill any previously open processes.

and download their tester/installer and test your connection to see if it's

being blocked. Punkbuster is a real pain.

That one’s self-explanatory. There’s a problem with the connection between your computer and their server. Check your firewall, check your internet connection, and, if possible, play over a wired connection rather than a wireless one.

Wait wait, you wouldn’t want to down grade. Perhaps try a different browser. If your dad won’t let you install anything, Internet Explorer is always an option (although I personally hate that stupid thing)

That means that somewhere along the line, your computer and the server lost their link. This can be due to a firewall, bad wifi reception, or an error on the server (less likely). Check to make sure your firewall or antivirus software isn’t isolating your browser OR the battlefield app.
